Abstract

The present study was conducted with the aim of modeling the factors affecting farmers' willingness to implement the land consolidation plan using the theory of planned behavior. To achieve the research goal, a descriptive-correlation method based on the structural equation model was used. The statistical population included farmers in the middle watershed of Shushtar city (N=1400). The sample size was determined as 301 people using the Krejci and Morgan table, and the sampling was carried out using a stratified-random method. The data collection tool was a questionnaire, the validity of which was confirmed based on the opinions of the university faculty members and its reliability through Cronbach's alpha. Also, the average variance extracted (AVE) index was used to determine the construct validity, and the composite reliability index (CR) and the homogeneity reliability index (Rho) were used to determine the model reliability. Data were analyzed using SPSS26 and Smart PLS3 software. The results of the structural equation model showed that the variables of attitude, subjective norms and perceived behavioral control predicted 63% of the changes in the variable of farmers' willingness to implement the land consolidation plan. Based on the results obtained from this study, the attitude and subjective norms of farmers explain 47% of the changes in perceived behavioral control and the subjective norm variable explains 37% of the changes in farmers' attitude towards implementing the land consolidation plan.
